Research Australia Philanthropy
Research Australia embarked on a new initiative to support health and medical research philanthropy. Research Australia Philanthropy was established in July 2007. The initiative was developed to address community awareness issues, overcome barriers and implement good practice approaches to build and enhance health and medical research philanthropy in Australia.
Programs
The strategies will be achieved through five key programs:
1. Promote health and medical research opportunities to philanthropists.
2. Provide information to givers about the range of health and medical research opportunities and how to evaluate giving proposals.
3. Develop guidelines and facilitate provision of private business expertise, including development of proposals, business plans and relationships with health and medical research agencies (seekers).
4. Provide information to seekers about how to develop relationships with givers and how to present proposals.
5. Facilitate connections between givers and seekers.
