“Thank You” Day is a time to recognize and thank the people who work tirelessly every day to protect us and improve and save our lives.
The official date for “Thank You” Day is Thursday, 25 November but you can host an event or promote “Thank You” Day any time during the month of November. A “Thank You” Day event is easy to organise, fun and completely flexible to suit your environment. It is a great way to bring together everyone who contributes to furthering health and medical research in Australia to say thank you.

Promotional Toolkit
Effective and targeted promotion will be key to the success of your event. Let all your friends or work colleagues know and don't forget to remind everyone why you are organising the event - to thank and inspire health and medical researchers and the health and medical research community including public health officers, support staff, philanthropists, government organisations and volunteers who make sure our health and quality of life is a top priority. To help make your "Thank You" Day Event a great success you can use the following promotional tools most of which you can download:
Event Toolkit
The event toolkit covers planning, tips and suggestions you need to consider to make your "Thank You" Day event a real success. Download "Thank You" Day Event Toolkit.
Poster and invitation
All you need to do is fill in your event details and insert your logo (if applicable) using the A4 version of the poster and invitation and email it, post it or display it in high traffic areas. Download editable A4 PDF version (please note you cannot insert your logo into this version).

Email campaign
Send an email to your friends and colleagues to spread the word by forwarding the email postcard to their contacts encouraging them to attend an event or send a message of thanks. Contact Research Australia for a copy of the above TIFF or GIF Postcard image.
Newsletter
Promote "Thank You Day in your company or social newsletter, or on Facebook of MySpace.
Banners
Once you have registered your event with Research Australia please contact us if you require a roll up banner for your event.
Register your "Thank You" Day Event
To ensure your event appears on the "Thank You" Day website, complete the event registration form.
Message posters
Your guests can write their messages on these large A1 "Thank You" Day posters. Use them to decorate the room. They also make an excellent keepsake of the day and a great backdrop for photographs. Download A4 version and download A3 version. Hard copy A0 versions are available from Research Australia.
Media
Use our media release template to submit a letter to the editor of your local newspaper supporting "Thank You" Day and the importance of health and medical research funding. Download Media Release template.
